What Aearon does

How Aearon uses your Google account

If you add a Gmail account, Aearon connects to Gmail through Google OAuth and IMAP/SMTP solely to do what an email client does: read, search, display, and send your own mail on your behalf, and deliver new-mail notifications. Aearon requests the access needed to operate your mailbox (https://mail.google.com/).

Aearon's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your data, do not use your email content for advertising, and do not use it to train generalized AI/ML models.

Your data, your control

Account credentials are stored encrypted on the Aearon server only so that new-mail notifications arrive when the app is closed. You can remove an account, clear the local cache, or sign out at any time, which deletes the associated credentials and tokens. You can also revoke Aearon's access in your Google Account settings.
